Zachariah is leading the firm’s Banking and Finance arm. Before co-founding the firm, he had worked as a Manager (Legal) with IFCI Ltd, Delhi from 2012 to 2015 where he had handled litigation, both civil and criminal, across India for the company. As part of his work profile, he was looking after the resolution of a Stressed Assets/NPA portfolio aggregating more than INR 22 Billion in value comprising over 40 accounts spread over diverse sectors such as Energy, Oil and Gas, Infrastructure, Roads, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Hospitality, Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals, Information Technology, Telecom, Ship Building, Gems & Jewellery, Textiles and Sugar. He is well versed in the law of debt recovery and enforcement of security interest and has gained significant experience in the field of banking and finance laws, project finance, rehabilitation & revival schemes, Corporate Debt Restructuring (CDR) mechanisms, liquidation procedures, litigation and settlements. He has also advised on matters pertaining to the law of debt recovery, insolvency, winding up, banking and finance, property, company, contract, sale of goods, SEBI and related laws, RBI guidelines, legal practice & procedures.
Since 2015, Zachariah has been a practicing advocate and has appeared in a number of Banking & DRT, Civil, Consumer and Criminal matters before the Ld. Courts in Delhi as well as Hon’ble Commissions & Tribunals.
